Stellar Forces is being developed by Stephen Smith and is a totally free turn-based multi-player squad strategy game. Was inspired by Laser Squad and just like the original inspirational game after you do the moves of your units, you end your turn and wait for your adversary move. The gameplay community server have a ladder lobby where you can choice other players and also from more of 50 scenarios. The game only requires the download of a Java client.

I'm happy that Julian had such tribute and when I was contacted by Retrogamer author Mike Bevan to permit inclusion of some material from the site I was delight to agreed. The Interview is perhaps the most vast available till now. A collector piece for any Gollop fan.

Julian Gollop working in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Lead the Ghosts for Nintendo 3DS?

Following an article in Gamasutra about a licensed "milk-the-cow" 50's retro-look X-Com game title in development, Julian Gollop announced in comments section that he is working in a turn-based title for Nintendo 3DS. Julian since 2007 works at Ubisoft Sofia (Bulgaria) and Tiny Cartridge suspects that the project well maybe be Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Lead the Ghosts (not really final and confirmed title) that is announced being developed at Ubisoft Sofia and I totally agree with that theory. Let's face it, by the look the game seems a "clone" of former Rebelstar Tactical Command for Nintendo DS. Game is still in early development and yet without release date. Also is not officially confirmed Gollop's connection but I think that soon the doubts will probably clarified.

Note: Julian Gollop is no way related with the 50's X-Com version in development.

The future of Laser Squad Nemesis

More than 6 years passed since Laser Squad Nemesis was released and Julian Gollop announced his plans for this game. So, for the faithful players delight he proposed make the game free and deliver the game server (and the forum) to the community. For now new subscriptions are suspended. This also means the ending of "official" support and that CoDo game studio is about to shut down after the swap is made.

LSN is (almost) dead, so long life to LSN in his newest incarnation.

Legends - Spell Siege

This post was updated since few months after the launch this project decesead and spellsiege.com went offline.

Legends - Spell Siege is a multiplayer online game based in our beloved Chaos playable in any browser. It's still a work in progress and things are quickly improving. Is very promissing and I welcome this brand new Chaos clone. As challange you have there 70 spells and 100 skills to master. And it seems to use the excellent freeware graphic tiles of David Gervais. At last, it's free and only needs mail registration. So give a try.

www.chaos-squad.com is the new site adress. Please bookmark it! :)

Starting today Chaos Squad have an easier domain address to remember since I registered www.chaos-squad.com. The site is still hosted in mediacorporation.net mother site so the old and long url chaosquad.mediacorporation.net is avaliable too as entry point if you want.
